Mr. Emmanuel Asiedu Sekyere, speaking at the inauguration ceremony, emphasized the importance of preparing Ghana’s youth for the challenges of a digital world where cyber threats are constantly evolving. “This facility stands as a testament to our commitment at Virtual InfoSec Africa to empower the next generation of cybersecurity experts and to strengthen Ghana’s position in the global cybersecurity landscape,” he stated.

Dr. Abraham Nana Opare-Kwakye, Chancellor of Presbyterian University and Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana; His Lordship Justice Prof. Emmanuel Nii Ashie Kotey, Chairperson of the University Council; and Prof. John Ofosu-Anim, the university’s Vice Chancellor.
In his remarks, Vice Chancellor Prof. John Ofosu-Anim highlighted the lab’s potential to shape future cybersecurity professionals. He acknowledged Mr. Sekyere’s generosity, noting that the lab would not only equip students with technical skills but also reinforce core values of integrity, service, and excellence—values central to the Presbyterian educational tradition.
“Our students will now have access to cutting-edge technology and mentorship that will allow them to excel in their studies and prepare for competitive roles in the job market,” Prof. Ofosu-Anim said. He emphasized the lab’s role in providing real-world, hands-on experience and urged students to make the most of this incredible resource”
Rt. Rev.
